Information for Card Recipients
Last updated: June 13, 2026
You’re probably here because you received a greeting card mailed through Kaiva, or saw our name on one. This page explains what that means, what information we have, and how to make choices about it - including stopping any future mail.
What Kaiva is
Kaiva (KAIVA LLC) is a service that helps people remember and act on personal occasions. A person who knows you — the sender - chose to have a card printed and mailed to you for an occasion like a birthday. The card and its message came from them; Kaiva produced and mailed it on their behalf. Kaiva did not choose you, market to you, or obtain your details from any list - the sender provided them.
What information we have about you
Typically: your name and mailing address, the occasion and its date (for example, your birthday), the message the sender wrote, and any photo the sender uploaded - which may include your image. We use it onlyto produce and mail the card the sender requested. We don’t use it for marketing, we don’t sell it, and we delete it on a short schedule: photos and print files are deleted about 30 days after the occasion, and order records are de-identified within 24 months. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Stop future mail to your address
If you don’t want to receive any further mail through Kaiva - from anyone - use the form below (or email support@kaivamoments.com with the address to block). We will:
- block all future Kaiva cards addressed to that address, regardless of sender;
- return the sender’s payment for any not-yet-produced card to them without telling them who opted out beyond what’s necessary;
- keep only a non-reversible cryptographic fingerprint of the address — not the address itself — to enforce the block.
One honest limitation: a card that has already been handed to production (roughly 7 days before its occasion) is physically in process and cannot be recalled. The block applies to everything after that.
Access or delete your information
Email privacy@kaivamoments.comfrom any address and tell us the mailing address concerned. We’ll confirm what we hold that relates to you and, on request, delete it (subject to narrow legal retention duties). Depending on where you live - including California - these may also be statutory rights; either way, we honor them. We’ll verify the request relates to your address before acting, to avoid deleting or revealing information at a stranger’s request.
If the mail is unwanted in a more serious way
If cards sent through Kaiva are part of harassment or unwanted contact, tell us at support@kaivamoments.com - sending unwanted or harassing mail violates our Acceptable Use Policy and we act on it, including terminating sender accounts. If you are in danger, contact local law enforcement first; we cooperate with law enforcement as the law requires.
